Host center description

The spine centre at the University of Hong Kong consists of services at Queen Mary Hospital (QMH) and Duchess of Kent Children’s Hospital (DKCH). QMH is an acute teaching hospital and receive all patients with acute spinal conditions including trauma, degenerative and tumour. It is a quaternary referral centre for the whole of Hong Kong. DKCH is an elective hospital taking care of both paediatric and adult spinal conditions including deformity, degenerative and inflammatory conditions. We also have access to the Hong Kong Children’s Hospital focused for paediatric spine conditions, and the HKU-Shenzhen Hospital across the border. Fellows will attend designated scoliosis clinics, general spine clinics and grand rounds. They will be expected to perform clinical duties with handson experience in operating theatres and participate in on-calls if necessary. They will also have opportunities to see the various hospitals as described above and participate in research.

Preferably to follow Hong Kong government regulations for COVID vaccination
