Visa application procedure

Singapore provides free entry to most citizens of OECD, ASEAN countries, China. For those from countries requiring a visa, application fee of SGD 30 applies and is issued within 3-4 days.

The fellow enters on a Short-Term Visit Pass (STVP), which is issued automatically at the checkpoint for most nationalities (typically 30 days, extendable). No separate application is needed on arrival. If the stay approaches 30 days and extension is needed:

An extension fee of SGD 40 applies if the extension granted leads to the applicant staying in Singapore for 90 days or more from the date of entry. For stays under 90 days, extension of the STVP is free.
